"UBUFURU" is a coined word based on the Okinawan Yaeyama dialect. "Ubu" means "beginning" or "to be born," and "Furu" means "river."
The name was inspired by the image of "a place where rivers are born" and "a waterside where life breathes," and expresses the feeling that this place where the sea and the river meet is "the beginning of a new journey."
We welcome you to "THE UBUFURU ISHIGAKI," a place where you can free your mind and soul, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Ishigaki Island, and we hope that your stay here will help you reset your mind and become the start of a new journey.
